ACS held a design/build contract with S&S Cycle to provide architectural, engineering and construction services on a new Product Development Test Cell, utilizing existing facility floor space. The concept and budget report enhanced the client’s understanding of the engineering and construction process to oversee the project while leaving the construction management services to the project team.

Key Performance Features:

• The test cell includes an integrated engine pallet assembly that accepts multiple engine types while isolating engine vibration from instrumentation.
• Test cell has a 150 HP Engine Dynamometer System with 150% overload for 5 minutes.
• Incorporated cost effective National Instruments hardware for Data Acquisition utilizing graphical flow charting for test sequence development.
• Test cell safeties include an explosion relief panel, gas detection, localized fire suppression, 24/7 scavenge air and an emergency stop.
