ACS held a single source contract for design and construction with Kettle Foods to provide architectural, engineering and construction services on a new potato chip manufacturing facility. The 75,000 square foot potato chip manufacturing facility is the eighth LEED® Gold and first Industrial LEED® certified building in the state of Wisconsin. ACS provided fundamental commissioning services and hired a consultant to provide enhanced commissioning services.

Key Performance Features:

• New plant will produce over 50 million pounds of russet potatoes per year, increasing the company’s production by 50%.
• The Kettle Plant uses 60% less water than a traditional potato chip factory.
• 100% of electrical energy requirement for Kettle are through green power. There are also 18 wind turbines on the roof producing 28,000 kWh annually.
